Abstract

|
Since Nahai had introduced the tensor fascia lata musculo-cutaneous flap on 1978, this flap had been used as most proper method in the reconstruction of the defect of lower abdomen, inguinal area, sacral area and trochanteric area. But the wide skin graft donor site scar, dog ear deformity and uncomfortableness were the problem.
So, Paletta (1989) and his companies aid the V·Y advancement method to this flap and gathered several advantages.
Now, in this article, we say the usefullness of this flap in two cases of trochanteric sore, which treated with V·Y advancement tensor fascia lata musculocutaneous flap.
